VG Entertainment 2025 Review
Cheers to a great year!
To all of our customers in 2025, thank you very much. And I mean it in the most personal way possible.
To those who don’t know, I’m Mark, the Director of Operations for VG Entertainment and I’m blessed to have this amazing responsibility. Because we do our job right, it never feels like you hired a vendor. It feels like a trusted friend handled a large chunk of your busy day. Our parents get to breathe. Our Kids get to be kids. And the party stays fun.
This year, you trusted us with celebrations across our home city of Long Beach, way way north in Los Angeles County, and deep deep south Orange County. It was quite the drive sometimes but thats SoCal. 😅
You invited us into your neighborhoods, your school celebrations, your birthday venues, your church, your local parks and your community spaces. You gave us the chance to do what we love: bring a premium mobile gaming experience to your event and make your gamers happy.
parents -What you thought vs what you got
There’s a moment that happens at a lot of parties, usually about twenty minutes in. Kids are fully locked in, the excitement is steady, and parents begin to relax. Someone will walk over, look at the setup, then look at me and say, “This is great.”
That’s the win. People think they are booking a gaming truck for their birthday party, but what they’re really buying is peace of mind. They want the fun outside so the house stays calm inside. They want a plan, not chaos. They want someone who can run the entertainment while they handle the food, the photos, the family, and yes, the last minute party supplies run that always seems to happen no matter how organized you are.
If VG Entertainment was a video game, this would be the “You win” screen.
A quick nod to how people found us
I’ve heard some crazy stories of how some people discovered us, whether through word of mouth or even accidental search results. Through the magic of the internet, anything is possible.
I’ve done my best to put us all over the different platforms including Facebook Marketplace, Tiktok, Nextdoor, GigSalad, TheBash, Instagram, Yelp and anywhere else I think you might be.
For Google, Bing, Yelp searching, I know most parents start with gaming truck or video game truck, then narrow it down. But what really matters is our reviews. I’m happy that we still maintain a 5 star review on all the platforms. If you have a positive experience that you want to share, please do.

The throwback energy that kept showing up
Classic Gaming on Arcade machines
One of my favorite surprises this year was how much the old school games mattered to families. Kids would be gaming, and then the adults would start talking about what they played growing up. Someone would say Galaga and another person would light up. Then you’d hear Frogger, Space Invaders, DigDug, Pac Mania, and suddenly the grown ups were smiling like they were kids again. Ms Pac Man comes up constantly, sometimes spelled different ways, because nostalgia isn’t about perfect memory, it’s about the feeling.
Classic arcade memories that hit parents instantly
People talk about arcades like they’re remembering a place, not just a game. So many times I’ve heard “I wish there was an arcade near me” or “I wish there was a place like when we were kids with the classic arcade games near me”.
The term barcade came up a lot. I had to look it up. Basically barcade is just a portmanteau of the word bar and arcade. And I get it. Beer and liquor bring back the nostalgia. Also theres a place called “barcade” which has that concept currently available in downtown LA and in the OC. I feel like Dave and Busters is also capitalizing on this trend.
A new favorite: the “barcade at home” idea
After seeing how much the adults are looking for nostalgia, we decided to offer this for the gaming adults. You make your own bar for your family and guests and let us be the arcade. You handle the drinks and food, we deliver the games and the hosted experience.
It scratches the same itch as a barcade near me night out, but it happens at your place with your people. And the best part is no DUI risk at the end of the night. It’s also a smart way to save money while still getting access to premium games, and it works for everything from a graduation party to a grown up birthday to a neighborhood get together.
Group games that turn the whole room into a party
We had a lot of events this year where group play took over in the best way. Mario Party, Just Dance, Oculus VR just to name a few.
Inside the video game truck, the biggest party game for 2025 was Gang Beasts. That game got more laughs than probably the next 20 combined. Shouts out to Mario Kart, Minecraft, Roblox and Goat Simulator 3 for also bringing lots of smiles to our players.
Gang Beast definitely is our truck MVP.
All the sports franchises of course get the oohs and aahs. FC26 well timed goals, NBA2k26 ankle breakers, Madden 26 Hail Mary, or a 9th inning home run on MLB TheShow get the whole truck rocking! I’ll be looking to add more party games next year like a Jackbox TV or other crowd favorites.
Fortnite moments and our V Bucks contests
Fortnite was a huge part of the excitement this year, and we made it even more fun by turning it into a moment. We do contests where we give Fortnite V Bucks cards for wins, and it always ignites the crowd. Kids get hyped, parents laugh at how serious the competition gets, and it becomes one of those stories that gets repeated later.
We also invested into our accounts over time, and we have a bunch of “OG” skins that were bought with V Bucks. Kids notice. They care about the details. When they see rare skins and a deep locker, the experience feels premium before the first match even starts.
The milestones we were honored to be part of
We loved showing up for kids birthday party bookings where the goal was simple: make the kid feel like the star of the day.
We also showed up for graduation celebrations where family came from different places and everyone wanted something interactive.
We stood by while people got married at beautiful weddings, did a couple of bar mitzvah, sweet 16, and even a bachelor party. And one of our most requested: the Quinceañera.
With big days like these, our job is to elevate it and give guests something to connect around, and make your planning feel easier and the day to go smoother
To the organizations who trusted us
A special thank you to the organizations that brought us in this year. Those events mean a lot to us because they serve whole communities, not just one household. When you trust us with a big crowd and a big moment, we feel that responsibility and we show up ready.
We also want to specifically recognize the organizations that trusted us this year, because those events matter. We hosted parties for 3 schools in LBUSD, one for the LA County Sheriff's Department, one for the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, 10 parties for Little League Baseball, playoffs for AYSO Soccer, a backpack drive for the YMCA and Long Beach Parks and Recs.
Local schools and youth sports
Whether it was a school celebration, a PTA event, or a youth sports gathering, thank you for letting us be part of the day. Those events have their own energy and their own logistics, and we loved bringing a smooth, organized experience that kept kids engaged and made the event easier on your staff and volunteers.
In fact, my own son’s school and PTA, used us for their 5th-grade graduation day. We also had an amazing time being a part of the Long Beach Unity Festival again this year.
Public service and community events
We’re also grateful for the city programs, nonprofits, and community organizers who invited us out. Community events are where planning and pacing matter most, and it was an honor to help create something fun, safe, and memorable for families across Long Beach, LA County, and Orange County.
We’ve had youth groups, city programs, nonprofits, and corporate teams gave us opportunities to serve crowds that require real structure. Maybe you’ve read down to this part of the blog and you would like to have us be part of your specialty event for 2026. I would be honored.
Heading into 2026
What I feel most grateful for is how many of you told us the same thing in different words. You told us it was smooth. You told us it was organized. You told us it felt stress free. You told us your kid talked about it for weeks. And you told us you did not have to host the entertainment part of your own event. That’s the reputation we protect.
As we move into 2026, the plan is simple. Keep raising the standard. Keep investing in what makes the experience premium. Keep refining how we run the flow. Keep showing up on time and prepared.
If you were part of our 2025 story, thank you. From my family to yours, we appreciate you more than you know.
